January
In January we welcomed leading liturgical artists James Blackstone and Martin Earle for a three-month residency, The Art of Worship, within a custom-built studio in the Cathedral’s North Transept.
February
We joined the world in praying for Ukraine, Russia and peace with prayers and candles surrounding Diana Brandenburger's The Refugee.
March
The Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Rev. Justin Welby, joined us for Choral Evensong to mark the end of his visit to the Diocese of Chichester.
April
Our Easter celebrations commenced with a new service - the Dawn Liturgy of Easter - at 5.30am, with the victory of light over darkness, of life over death, our watching and waiting is rewarded with light.
May
The Chichester Peregrines welcomed two healthy chicks, one male (AJ) and one female (AK)!
June
The long awaited Festival of Flowers returned as the Cathedral was transformed with floral arrangements celebrating 'Life in all its fullness'.
July
Together We Rise,a major exhibition of artworks from celebrated members of the Royal Society of Sculptors, saw over 30 artworks from 25 artists presented within the Cathedral and its grounds. Above: Quercus, by Rebecca Newnham.
August
The Mosaic of St Dominic, created by liturgical artist James Blackstone during the three-month Art of Worship residency was unveiled and blessed by the Bishop of Chichester, the Right Reverend Dr Martin Warner.
September
We welcomed the county and the city to the Cathedral to give thanks for the life of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Image courtesy of Ruarie Farrelly.
October
We welcomed families as part of our Harvest celebrations to take part in the Big Draw Festival, colouring in the Cathedral Nave using recycled materials and Nellie The Final Fat Fish landed on the Cathedral Green to raise awareness of plastic pollution.
November
We began our journey from Advent, through to Christmas day. For the first time in our Cathedral's 940 year history, girl Choristers formed part of the Choir. Read an interview with our Organist & Master of the Choristers Charles Harrison on The Telegraph Website>>

At the start of the Advent period, the Cathedral community launched an appeal to raise over 250kg of food for people in crisis across the district. Over 536kg of donations were raised for Chichester District Foodbank – more than doubling our original target.

In August we had a roarsome time meeting a T-Rex, dino babies and more as they roamed the Cathedral Green!
